Welcome to this hidden page on my website, containing a collection of samples and trials for my MOON plate.

I love working with clear, unified imagery: a distinct design language that gains strength through clarity. Not with excessive embellishment, but with what is essentially and functionally necessary, while pushing the boundaries of production techniques.

Round ceramic plates are usually uniform, but these are not. MOON draws attention to its positioning on the table, in relation to both chef and consumer. By approaching the design asymmetrically, the process explored how to properly accommodate tension in the kiln while still achieving a perfect result

At first glance, it looks like an ordinary round plate with an evenly raised rim. On the inside, however, two curves determine its orientation: at the front, the edge rises slightly, while at the back, the food is presented freely at a gentle angle. The plate can function as a tapas dish or for serving a starter, and it can also separate wet and dry elements. While normally round plates have no direction on the table, this one does and encourages interaction between chef and guest.
