INSTANT TABOURET rethinks upholstery by removing unnecessary layers.
A thermoformed “hat” replaces traditional foam and dacron, creating comfort through form rather than padding. The structure allows for replaceable components and flat-pack transport. This materials research is made in my workplace on behalf of MONTIS (NL) in order to make a composite of a synthetic felt with a finishing layer from woolfelt or leather.
The project introduces a more efficient and adaptable approach to furniture production.
