MOON

At first sight a normal round plate with an equally high outer border. On the inside, however, two curves define direction: at the front a border appears, while at the back food is placed freely presented under slight angle. The plate serves as tapas plate, to serve an appetizer on, to separate a nap and a dry and to arouse interaction between cook and consumer. The material used in this one-off piece is elephant grass, miscanthus giganteus. A green solution for an instant plate made from ingredients that grow locally and producable with the same injection moulds as to be used with plastics, but here on lower temperature.
