invert

for PIÈCE LUDIQUE 2010-2025

Our environment is quickly changing which demands time to reflect and become aware of these movements. We are born in a generation where consistency on save nature’love is accepted in a simultaneously faster digital time area: nature and humanity kept on hands versus an industrial mass produced environment. With my INVERT sofa I’ve tried to capture attention towards this. One industrial clear white mattress with fixed part and one that could be elevated contributes to fifty second-hand cushions&buttons from worldwide input to deform this mattress into your sofa, daybed, sleeping bed. By stabbing and knotting them at sides or at back between two layers a ‘capiton pillow pattern’ appears to become a honorable sofa. The cushions contain world cultures, could make a ‘leftovers sofa’ from current waste on collections, reflect patterns from our living environment, to become one, to encourage, to inspire and invert a consciously mind.
The question remains, what’s one without the other?
