When making an espresso, coffee is ‘’pressed’’ under high pressure for a concentrated taste. Similar to that idea, while clay is pressed through the nozzle defaults arise accidentally, the clay sputters for a while or is briefly interrupted. I wanted to capture this beautiful coincidence and created a random pattern with small ‘breaks’ both inside and outside. This feature accentuates the so typical printing in lines even more.
